NEW SAMADHI BUDDHA STATUTE UNVEILED AT SECURITY FORCE HEADQUARTERS (CENTRAL)

Security Force (Central) which is dedicated to ensure security and social welfare in Central highlands and Southern region, recently erected a new Samadhi Buddha statute and shrine at its headquarters, Diyatalawa in order to promote religious harmony. The construction project is a brain child of Commander Security Force (Central) Major General Samantha Silva RWP RSP ndu.

The new Samadhi Buddha statue and shrine were constructed at the headquarters premises with the funds donated by Sri Lanka Army Buddhist Association and financial contributions of donors around the island, together with the untiring effort of All Ranks of the headquarters extended during construction phase.
