NEW COMMANDER OF THE SECURITY FORCES CENTRAL ASSUMED DUTIES

Maj Gen W R P De Silva USP ndc IG assumed duties as the 9th Commander of the Security Forces (Central), at an auspicious time on 25th October 2018 at Security Forces Headquarters (Central). Troops of 18 GW offered the Guard Turnout and Guard of Honour at the Rendezvous ground Diyathlawa The ceremony was consisted with the Tree Planting, Troops Address and All Ranks Tea. GOC 11 Div, GOC 12 Div and senior officers, officers and OR’s under command to Security Forces Central were participated at this ceremonial occasion.

Maj Gen Ruwan De Silva is a decorated officer in the Army who has served in many command, staff and instructional appointments. Maj Gen Ruwan De Silva was the GOC 21 Division before, taking over his new appointment as the Commander Security Forces (Central).
