Colonel J A C Karunathilake RSP USP of prestigious Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, assumed duties as Colonel General Staff at Security Force Headquarters (Central) on 16 January 2023. He took over duties during a formal ceremony arranged at his office, and received compliments and best wishes for his new appointment, from all Senior Staff Officers and Other Rank staff.
The senior officer is awarded with a gallantry medal for his highly recognized service during the trying times. He is an experienced professional who has performed duties in many capacities.
