In accordance with a concept of the HE the President, island wide programmes are conducted to beautify the main cities as well as crowded towns. Consequently, a shramadana campaign was organized in Diyatalawa town which has paramount importance for tourism. This shramadana campaign was launched on 28 November 2019 under the directions of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G J L Waduge RWP RSP VSV USP ndu and the supervision of the Chief Civil Coordinating Officer of the Security Forces Headquarters (Central). During the campaign, the priority was accorded to the cleanliness and beautification of the city.
More than 100 Military personnel from under command formations of the SF (Central) participated in this programme. Further, the troops representing Police and Air Force also contributed to conclude this programme successfully.
