The Annual Shramadana campaign in Bandarawla town was launched this time also to clean the town area in order to make it more attractive. This was done on 29 June 2019 with the instructions and the supervision of the Mayor of Bandarawela. Responding to the request of the Bandarawela Municipal Council the troops of Security Forces (Central) also contributed for this campaign under the aegis of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G J L Waduge RWP RSP VSV USP ndu.
Further, the troops of tri forces and police as well as school children labored the campaign assisting the civil authorities. This campaign successfully ended amidst the appreciations of the public in the area.
