General Officer Commanding (GOC) - 12 Infantry Division, Major General Lanka Amarapala along with Commander 121 Infantry Brigade made a field visit to under command Battalions. 20th Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and 18th Battalion of Gamunu Watch on 13 and 14 September 2022. The GOC was welcomed by the Commanding Officers of 20th Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and 18th Battalion of Gamunu Watch on the arrival and briefed the GOC about the responsibilities, role and task of respective battalions. Afterwards, the GOC addressed the troops and appreciated duties carried out during recent unrest situations. Further GOC highlighted impotency of the army contribution for the national security. Finely GOC stressed the impotence of preventing traffic accidents, raising awareness about illegal activities as well as maintaining a high level of discipline among Officers and Other Ranks.
