GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING 11 INFANTRY DIVISION MAKES MAIDEN FIELD VISITS

Recently appointed General Officer Commanding of 11 Infantry Division, Major General RMM Ranasinghe WWV RWP RSP made his maiden field visit to 111 Infantry Brigade and 2nd Battalion Sinha Regiment based in Kandy area, under Security Force (Central).

The visiting senior officer was warmly welcomed by Brigadier WMS Eragoda RWP RSP USP, the Commander of 111 Infantry Brigade, and he was briefed on the role and task carried out by the brigade and the under command battalions. The general officer commanding commended the selfless service of the troops deployed in the area of responsibility. Later, the senior officer interacted with all ranks during the events followed on the visit.
