The 12 Infantry Division laid the foundation stone for a needy family residing in Maligawila, Monaragala on 10 May 2024. This endeavor was sponsored by Mr. Chaminda Welegama, coordinated under the guidance of Major General P.A.M Peiris RSP USP psc, the General Officer Commanding of the 22 Infantry Division.
Major General C.S Munasinghe WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc IG, the General Officer Commanding of the 12 Infantry Division, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Senior Officers, Officers, Mr. Chaminda Welegama and his family members, and Other Ranks participated in the event. The construction of the house will be carried out by the troops of the 18 Gemunu Watch.
