DISTRIBUTION OF GOODS AND OTHER MATERIALS AND PROVIDING LUNCH BY TROOPS UNDER 12 INFANTRY DIVISION.

Under the leadership of Major General KAWNH Bandaranayake USP Commander Security Forces Headquarters (Central) and Major General MPKL Amarasinghe WWV RWP RSP ndc Commander of the 12 Infantry Division and under the supervision of Colonel B K Thrimannavithanage RWP RSP Commander of the 121 Infantry Brigade, a military-led charitable initiative was successfully conducted on 03 January 2026 at Meth sewa Foundation at Hadapanagala Wellawaya.

A program oraganized to distribute some essential goods and materials, children who possess special needs and elderly people accomodated in the Meth Sewa Foundation in Handapangala, Wellawaya was conducted by the troops under 20th Battalion Sinha Regiment, the donation of some essential goods and materials was generously sponsored by Consultant Physician Dr. Jinanjala Shanika Wijayagunasekara. This community related program included a lunch for special needs children and differently-abled adults, a music session aimed at promoting mental well-being and the distribution of Particular donations.
