DEFENCE SECRETARY OF PAKISTAN VISITS KANDY

Lieutenant General (Retd) Hamood Uz Zaman Khan, the Secretary of the Ministry of Defence - the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, who is attending the 4th Round of Pakistan - Sri Lanka Armed Forces Defence Dialogue (AFDD) in Colombo made a formal visit to Kandy on 02 January 2024. The Defence Secretary along with his wife and the delegation consisting three officials flew from Colombo to Kandy in the morning, and visited prominent destinations in Kandy.

Commander Security Force Central and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps, Major General WWHRRVMNDKB Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc warmly welcomed the Pakistan delegation at the Kandy Police Ground, and guided them to pay respect to the Temple of Tooth Relic, and made courtesy call with the Chief Lay Custodian Mr. Pradeep Nilanga Dela of Sri Dalanda Maligawa. Then the delegation visited the most beautiful Peradeniya Botanic Garden and Kandy View Point.

Security Force Commander hosted the lunch for the visiting delegation at the Commander’s Residence, Laksenpaya - Pallekele, Earlier the departure, Security Force Commander and General Officer Commanding 11 Infantry Division clicked a group photograph with the Pakistan Defence Secretary and the delegation after exchanging plaques and mementos to mark the moment memorable.
