Consul General of INDIA in Hamabantota, MR Dipin PR together with a delegation visited 12 Infantry Division on AM hours 04th August 2022. Major General Lanka Amarapala, General Officer Commanding, 12 infantry Division welcomed them and briefed them on current engagements of Nontraditional threats and their commitment to well-being of the people, green agricultural projects, support provided to smooth functioning of essential services during difficult times.
Consul General of INDIA in Hamabantota greatly appreciated the services of the Military and was pleased. He left compliments in the visitors' book and made a special note, appreciating the 12 Infantry Division commitment and dedication towards strengthening civil Military ties.
Towards the end, Major General Lanka Amarapala and the Consul General of INDIA in Hamabantota exchanged mementoes as tokens of goodwill and cooperation.
