Newly appointed Commander of Security Force Central (SF – Central), Major General BKGML Rodrigo RSP psc IG, paid his first official visit to the 12 Infantry Division Area Of Responsibility (AOR) on 06 and 07 August 2024.
On his arrival, the Security Force Commander was warmly welcomed by the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 12 Infantry Division and he was awarded with a Guard Turnout at the entrance by troops of 12 Battalion of Gajaba Regiment.
To commemorate the visit, Commander SF- Central, posed for a photograph and planted a Sandalwood Sapling and addressed officers and others ranks of 12 Infantry Division followed by all Ranks tea. Further, during the visit to the AOR he met Chief Incumbent of Wedasitikanda Temple, visited headquarters of 122 Infantry Brigade and fallowing day visited 121 Infantry Brigade Headquarters and 20th Battalion of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment.
