THE COMMANDER OF SECURITY FORCES (CENTRAL) VISITS 12 INFANTRY DIVISION

Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander of Security Forces (Central) made his official visit to the 12 Infantry Division Area of Responsibility on 30 & 31 October 2024.

On his arrival, at the main entrance he was warmly welcomed by the Major General PKWWMJSBW Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, the General Officer Commanding of 12 Infantry Division and SF Commander (Central) was honored with a guard turnout by the troops of 12 Gajaba Regiment. To mark the visit, Commander SF (Central) posed for a photograph and planted sandalwood sapling in division headquarters. Later the Commander of Security Forces (Central) was briefed by the GOC and the Brigade Commanders comprehensively.

Afterwards, the officers and other ranks of 12 infantry division headquarters, under command brigades and battalions were addressed by the SF Commander (Central), highlighting dealing with social media, refrain from illegal activities and personal financial management. Finally, he emphasized the importance of maintain a high level of discipline among officers and other ranks. Further, during the visit the Security Forces Commander (Central) visited headquarters of 121Inf Bde, 122 Inf Bde and also under command battalion headquarters.
