THE COMMANDER OF SECURITY FORCES (CENTRAL) VISITS 12 INFANTRY DIVISION

Major General GMN Perera RWP RSP USP ndc, the Commander of Security Forces (Central) made his official visit to the 12 Infantry Division Area of Responsibility on 24 September 2024.

On his arrival, at the main entrance he was honoured with a drive past by the troops of 20 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment. Later the Commander was warmly welcomed by the Major General PKWWMJSPW Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, General Officer Commanding and the officers of the 12 Infantry Division. The Commander of Security Forces (Central) was briefed by the GOC comprehensively. To mark the visit, Commander SF – Central posed for a photograph and planted sandalwood sapling in division headquarters.

Afterwards, the officers and other ranks of 12 infantry division headquarters, under command brigades and battalions were addressed by the SF Commander – Central, highlighting the knowledge, commitment, personal values and financial management. Finally, he emphasized the importance of maintain a high level of discipline among officers and other ranks. Further, during the visit the Security Forces Commander – Central met Chief Incumbent of Wedasitikanda Temple and visited headquarters of 121 and 122 Brigades.
