Troops under Security Force – Central promptly made their assistance to clear obstructed rail track near Bandarawela Railway Station during the afternoon on 28 December 2023. The railway line was obstructed due to an earth slip erupted upon the rainy condition. The railway department members assisted army troops to restore the train movements.
On the same day Army troops in Badulla swiftly responded to clear an uprooted tree that blocked the vehicular movements at Thaldena area, along the Badulla – Mahiyangana main road.
