The public transport passage infront of the Kandaketiya Pradeshiya Sabha was blocked due an uprooted tree which fell on the electricity line, during the morning hours on 02 December 2023.
On the notice of the disastrous situation, troops belongs to 2nd Battalion Sri Lanka Rifle Corps rushed to the scene and made a great effort to clear the road. They were able to restore the vehicular movements into normalcy
