On the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G J L Waduge RWP RSP VSV USP ndu, the Army flag was hoisted by the Brigadier General Staff of this Headquarters and the Army song was sung by all the Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of both Security Forces Headquarters (Central) and Volunteer Force Training School, in parallel with the 70th Army Day celebrations on 10 October 2019.
Moreover, the message of the Army Day which was released by the Commander of the Army was presented by SO 2 (Admin) of this Headquarters. In addition, a Shramadana Campaign was also launched at the Aurvedic Hospital, Diyatalawa in order to celebrate the 70th Army Day.
