CENTRAL TROOPS CELEBRATE POSON POYA

A series of programmes were organized on the account of Poson Full Moon Poya Day with the instructions and the guidance of the Commander Security Force (Central), Major General G J L Waduge RWP RSP USP VSV ndu.

Consequently, on 14 June 2019 a Pirith chanting ceremony as well as a Bodhi Puja was conducted at Sri Nandarama Temple in Balangoda to bless the Army personnel. For this religious observance, one officer and forty other ranks participated. Further, the Commander SF Central participated in the Bodhi Puja which was colourfully organized at Bodhi Kanda Temple on Poson Poya Day.

The Dansala which was organized by the United Merchant Association – Diyatalawa on Poson Poya Day was declared open by the Commander SF Central participating as the Chief Guest of the event. In addition, the troops provided their fullest contribution for this event including the security.
