A Bodhi Pooja programme was organized by the troops of the 17 Corps of Engineer Services (CES) of the Security Force Headquarters (Central) on the instructions of Major General A P de Z Wickramaratne RWP ndu psc, Commander Security Forces (Central) on Full Moon Poya Day at 1600 hrs on 21 April 2016 to transfer merits on fallen War Heroes and invoke blessings on Army personnel serving under the SF HQ (Central).
Ven. Pimbure Dhammadeva Thero, the Chief incumbent of Sandagiri Ahaspokuna Temple in Digana, Kandy delivered a Dhamma sermon during the Bodhi Pooja, held at the Bodhikanda Temple.
Major General Wickramaratne, together with senior officers and Army personnel of the SF HQ (Central), its affiliated units and Volunteer Force Training School (VFTS) - Diyatalawa participated in the event.
