ASSUMED DUTIES AS THE NEW COMMANDER – 122 INFANTRY BRIGADE

Colonel ONJ De Silva USP IG, assumed duties as the 14th Commander of the 122 Infantry Brigade at the 122 Infantry Brigade Headquarters on 08 January 2026 at an auspicious time. On this occasion, a camp guard turnout was presented by troops of the 12th Gajaba Regiment.

Following the formal assumption of duties, the newly appointed Brigade Commander planted a mango sapling and thereafter addressed the troops. Subsequently, a tea reception was held with the participation of all officers. Thereafter, the Brigade Commander conducted a camp inspection, following which the staff delivered a brief presentation on the Brigade Area of Responsibility.
