ARMY TROOPS COORDINATE ANOTHER SOCIAL WELFARE EVENT IN THISSAMAHARAMAYA

Troops of 12 Infantry Division under Security Force (Central) coordinated a dry ration packs distribution event to facilitate needy families in Thissamaharamaya area. A number of 65 low-income families were benefitted and donated with dry ration packs during in the programme which was held at the office of Divisional secretariat Thissamaharamaya on 06 November 2022.

Former Commander of the Army, General (retired) Jagath Jayasooriya RWP VSV USP ndu psc, Mrs Manjulika Jayasooriya and several well-wishers sponsored the distribution programme on the invitation of General Officer Commanding 12 Infantry Division, Major General Mihidu Perera RWP RSP USP ndc. The GOC 12 Infantry Division made necessary to coordinate the social welfare programme under the guidance of Commander Security Force (Central) Major General Samantha Silva RWP RSP ndu.

Senior Army Officers, Distinguished well-wishers, Divisional Secretary Thissamaharamaya, Government Officials, Troops and Residents witnessed the programme.
