ARMY TROOPS ASSIST TO MAINTAIN ESSENTIAL SERVICES AMIDST ONGOING STRIKES

Since many of essential services administrated by the government were disrupted by the ongoing public workers’ strikes, troops of Sri Lanka Army assisted to maintain the smooth function of specific essential services in many areas of the island.

On the guidance of Major General Mohan Rathnayake RWP RSP USP ndu, Commander Security Force (Central) troops deployed in Central, Uwa and Southern provinces provided assistance to return the essential services of Railway Transport and Hospitals back to normal during the strikes.
