Given to the government warning over the active disaster prone area in Kelipanawela - Haldummulla, 200 acres circumference habitation was directed to isolate the area by the National Building Research Organization on 11 December 2023. Thus a number of 141 civilians belong to 31 families were shifted to safe area temporarily.
The troops of quick reaction rider team of Security Force Headquarters Central assisted the police and Haldummulla Divisional Secretariat to shift the residents to safe shelters.
