Independence Day commemoration ceremony of the Badulla District, was held at the Badulla Vincent Dias ground with the participation of religious priests, senior military officers and other officials on 08.02.2010. The event has arranged with the participation of large number of school children giving prominence to cultural events.
The ceremony was held with the participation of tri forces, police and the district secretary of the Uva Provincial Council. Students from 18 schools in the Badulla district were participated for the march past. A platoon from 112 Brigade also marched in the parade representing the Army.
