12 INFANTRY DIVISION TROOPS CONSTRUCTED SECOND NEW HOUSE FOR NEEDY FAMILY AT MALIGAWILA

In line with 75 Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, 18 GW Battalion troops of the 121 Infantry Brigade under the 12 Infantry Division constructed Second new house for a needy family at Maligawila with Army coordinated sponsorship and vested it to the beneficiary family.

Philanthropist for this meritorious task, Mr. Chaminda Welegama, the founder was introduced by a close friend of GOC 22 Infantry Division, construction was done under the supervision of CO 18 GW troops lent their technical expertise and manpower to the project.

For the formal warming ceremony of hand over house to the needy family on 13 August 2024, Major General PAM Peiris RSP USP psc 22 Infantry Division, and Mr. Chaminda Welegama, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, and relatives of beneficiary family participated in the event.
