12 Infantry Division organized a welfare project to donate school accessories for 120 students studying at Ranminithenna Kanishta Vidyalaya in Thissamaharama on 02 May 2024 under the guidance of Major General C.S Munasinghe WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc IG, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 12 Infantry Division.
On the following day, 12 Infantry Division launched another programme to donate school shoes for 60 students studying at Abhayapura Suranimala Primary School. The Commander, Security Forces - Central also provided the required instructions for the project.
A group of philanthropists headed by Rev Father, Osman De Alwis, residing in Hong Kong provided the required sponsorships for both programmes.
GOC of 12 Infantry Division graced the occasion as the chief guest together with Rev Father, Osman De Alwis. Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, sponsors, teachers and parents were also present at those events.
