The annual Volleyball Tournament of Security Force (Central) took place at the premises of 12 Infantry Division Headquarters in Hambanthota from 05 to 07 September 2023. Teams comprising of officers and other ranks from ranks from Security Force Headquarters (Central), Forward Maintenance Area (Central), 11 and 12 Infantry Divisions played the initial matches on 05 and 06 September. The final encounter was held between Security Force Headquarters (Central) team and 12 Infantry Division Team on 07 September 2023.
Superb sportsmanship and cohesion were exhibited by the players during the tournament. At the final encounter, 12 Infantry Division team outclassed the opposite team to clinch the champions title.
Champions trophy was awarded by the Commander Security Force (Central), and the runners -up along with other teams were also appreciated by awarding medals and certificates.
Commander Forward Maintenance Area (Central), General Officer Commanding 12 Infantry Division, Brigade Commanders, Battalion Commanders and troops witnessed the final encounter and awarding ceremony.
