12 INFANTRY DIVISION COMMEMORATES WAR HEROES

Troops of 12 Infantry Division commemorated the 16th National War Heroes’ day on 19 May 2025 at the Divisional headquarters, the commemoration began with announcing of the message of the Commander of the Army. Observing two minute silence was conducted as a gesture of respect and to commemorate fallen war heroes who made their ultimate sacrifice in defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of mother Sri Lanka. A slapping was planted to mark the significance of the day by Major General WSN Hemarathna RWP RSP psc, the General Officer Commanding of 12 Infantry Division. The deputy General Officer Commanding, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Division headquarters participated the event.
