The 5th anniversary of the 12 Division Headquarters of the Security Force Headquarters (Central) was celebrated with a series of community projects and a sports tournament on the patronage of Major General G R H Dias USP ndc psc IG, General Officer Commanding, 12 Division.
Volleyball, cricket, tug of war and several other games among officers and soldiers kicked off the arrangement. In addition, more than 60 troops cleaned up Hambantota Base Hospital premises and its wards under a Shramadana project to coincide with the anniversary. The final programme on 01 April 2016 saw adults in the Godawaya Sarana Home for the Blind and Elderly served with a special meal on account of the anniversary.
