In response to the request made by the chief incumbent of Maura Methsewana Temple through the District Secretary - Hambantota, the General Officer Commanding of 12 Infantry Division, Major General PKWWMJSBW Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, directed troops to plaster and paint the newly built wall around the temple premises.
Required materials and resources were provided by the philanthropists of the temple and troops of 12 Infantry Division lent their technical expertise and manpower for this community project which was completed on 06 September 2024 and handed over to the temple in line with the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army.
The Chief Incumbent of Maura Methsewana Temple and District Secretary of Hambantota paid special thanks to the Military troops for providing assistance to the project.
