The newly-appointed Commander, Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C), Major General A.M Perera made his first formal visit to the 12 Division in Hambanthota on Tuesday (10).
Upon receipt by Brigadier N.A Darmarathna, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 12 Division, he was ushered to receive the military honours, Guard Turnout.
Afterwards, Major General Perera made a brief address to the all ranks including senior officers of Divisions, Brigades and Units serving under the SFHQ-C, in which he spelt out his vision for the SFHQ-C and spoke at length about the discipline and future assignments.
During his stay, General Perera paid a visit to the Hambanthota Harbor, Mattala Airport, 121 Brigade Headquarters, 122 Brigade Headquarters, 12 Gamunu Watch Battalion Headquarters and also to the proposed construction site of the 121 Brigade Headquarters at Kubukkana, Moneragala
