Newly constructed WO's /Sgt's accommodation apartment of Regimental Centre was declared open by Col KC Dharmasena RSP the Centre Commandant SLAPC on 30th August 2017. The ceremony commenced with the blessing of the Maha Sanga. All Officers of the Regiment and SNCOs of 1, 2 SLAPC units attended the occasion.

Regimental Centre of Sri Lanka Pioneer's Corps organized and held a New Year Festival at Pelawaththa, Mathugama on 16th April 2016 and it was elaborated with traditional games such as Pot cracking, Pillow fighting, eye-placing on the elephant, fancy dresses, selection of New year princess, Tug of war, marathon etc.

The Col KC Dharmasena RSP assumed duties as the Centre Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Pioneers Corps on 21st October 2015. He addressed the troops of SLAPC and briefed regard the challengers and future plans after receiving the guard turnout and an all ranks tea party at the Regimental Centre.
