Celebrated the 1st Anniversary of RHQ SLAPC at the Regimental Centre premises on 16th February 2017. Col KC Dharmasena Centre Commandant SLAPC received the guard turnout and paid the tributes to the war heroes at monument of Regimental Centre. It was marked the witness by planting a tree by the Col KC Dharmasena RSP Centre Commandant and delighted by an all ranks lunch and a musical show at the Regimental premises on the same day.

Newly constructed WO's Sgts accommodation apartment of Regimental Centre was declared open by Col KC Dharmasena RSP the Centre Commandant SLAPC on 30th August 2017. The ceremony commenced with the blessing of the Maha Sanga. All Officers of the Regiment and SNCOs of 1, 2 SLAPC units attended the occasion.

The officers training day of Sri Lanka army pioneer corps got under way on 30th June 2017 the function had been organized in the regiment, Col KC Dharmasena RSP and it was attended 30 x officers of SLAPC with council members.

The Regiment of Sri Lanka Pioneers Corps organized and presented a Buddhist film called "Pin Wadana Punya Boomi Wandana" at Public Auditorium of Mathugama on 29th October 2016 to raise funds of for the welfare of RHQ SLAPC. Most of the military representatives and the council members were attended at the occasion.
