MIR - SVB CONDUCTED A DONATION PROGRAMME

The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment conducted the Scholarship programme beneficial for 105 school children whose parents are serving as sldrs and civ servants of the MIR on 28 December 2024 at the RHQ MIR.
Mrs. Nilanthi Wanasinghe, the President, MIR - SVB graced the occasion as the Chief Guests, along with Maj Gen WMSCK Wanasinghe RSP, General Officer Commanding 21 Infantry Division and the Colonel of the Regiment Mechanized Infantry regiment.

The Mechanized Infantry Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch Chairperson, Mrs Nilanthi Wanasinghe and members made a visit to the ‘Abimansala I’ Wellness Resort in Anuradhapura on 02 February 2025 and looked into the well-being of the resident war heroes who are under recuperation at the Wellness Resort.

MECHANIZED INFANTRY REGIMENT LADIES CLUB VISITED MIHINDU SETH MEDURA

The President of Mechanized Infantry Ladies Club Mrs. Shiromi Masakorale and members visited the Mihindu Seth Medura, on 10 June 2018. During the ward visit they distributed gifts amongst differently abled war heroes and took time to interact with them. A special lunch was arranged for differently abled war heroes. The Ladies Club members donated special gift to the Mihindu Seth Medura for the use of differently abled war heroes. The Centre Commandant Colonel S J Priyadarshana RWP RSP USP and other senior Officers/Officers also attended for the event.
