AUSPICIOUS PADDY HARVESTING IN MECHANIZED INFANTRY REGIMENT CENTRE, DAMBULLA

The auspicious harvesting of paddy, sown in a 1.5 acre field in the Camp premises, Mechanized Infantry Regiment Centre, Dambulla was held on 03 September 2024. With the guidance of the Commander Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) and the Colonel of the Regiment Mechanized Infantry Regiment, Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc and under the supervision of the Centre Commandant, Mechanized Infantry Regiment, Brigadier AK Peiris RSP, the ceremony began with traditional and religious rituals infront of the troops, who had sown the paddy seeds several months ago, stepped into the fields carrying sickles for the harvesting.

The 1.5 acres of paddy fields were cultivated by the troops of Mechanized Infantry Regiment Centre.
