OFFICERS TRAINING DAY - 1/2023

The Officers Training Day - 1/2023 which was organized by the Mechanized Infantry Regiment was held on 26 May 2023 at the Regimental Centre with the participation of Senior Officers/Officers as directed by Major General DMKDB Pussella RWP RSP, the Colonel of the Regiment - MIR, Commander Security Forces West, under the supervision of Brigadier A M A Abeyasinghe RWP RSP USP psc, the Commandant the Mechanized Infantry Regimental Centre.

The day's proceedings commenced with morning physical training for all officers followed by foot/sword drills was conducted for junior officers. The officers of 1st Battalion Mechanized Infantry Regiment have conducted a timely worthy Syndicate Presentation on Role of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment to react as a Disaster Relief Force and Lt Col RMHB Rathnayaka RSP USP psc, SO I - Career Progression - MS Br also conducted a lecture on 'Officers' Career Progression'.

At last, to mark as a final event the Diners' Club was organized at the Regimental Officers' Mess. In light of the above, the General Officer Commanding 61 infantry Division Major General H M U Herath RWP RSP VSV USP Hdmc psc delivered a lecture on 'Asymmetric Warfare' to enlighten the officers' knowledge on the subject area.
