MECHANIZED INFANTRY REGIMENTAL TROOPS BUILT A NEW SHRINE AT PUBUDU NURSERY – DEHIPPAWA AND OPENED

A newly constructed and much-needed new shrine, built by Mechanized Infantry troops at the request of the warden at Pubudu Nursery Dehippawa' was inaugurated on 26 November 2022 amid religious rites and rituals.

At the invitation of the warden, Brig A M A Abeysinghe RWP RSP USP psc, Commandant Mechanized Infantry Regiment graced as the Chief Guest at the occasion. The complete project was taken place under the guidance and supervision of Maj Gen C D Weerasuriya RWP RSP ndu, Deputy Chief of Staff, Army Headquarters, and the Colonel of the Regiment Mechanized Infantry Regiment. Mechanized Infantry family member’s relation donator who lives in abroad extended the financial support and Mechanized Infantry Regimental troops also extended their financial and manpower support to complete the project.

Members of the Maha Sangha, Deputy Commandant - Col PI Punchihewa, Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks, and a gathering of devotees attended the occasion, and the program comprised refreshments for kids and parents.
