OPENING OF NEWLY CONSTRUCTED HOUSE FOR MILITARY FAMILY

Under the concept of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Army Headquarters and the Colonel of the Regiment Mechanized Infantry Regiment, Major General C D Weerasuriya RWP RSP ndu, in order to construct five houses for five soldiers for each battalions, the third newly constructed house in Munwatta, Walapane for S/Sgt Rajapaksha RGYDKP USP ceremonially declared open by Maj Gen H M U Herath RWP RSP USP Hdmc psc General Officer Commanding 53 Division on 02 October 2022.

For the construction of the house locally founded materials were heavily used while financial assistance was provided by Mechanized Infantry Regimental Seva Vanitha Branch and 3rd Battalion Mechanized Infantry.

In this occasion, The Centre Commandant, Brigadier A M A Abeysinghe RWP RSP USP psc, Commanding Officer 3rd Battalion Mechanized Infantry Regiment, Lt Col M T P Muhandiramge RSP USP psc along with other Senior Officers/Staff Officers were participated.
