Formal visit to the Mechanized Infantry Training Centre, 2nd Battalion Mechanized Infantry Regiment and 5 (V) Battalion Mechanized Infantry Regiment was held on 21 and 22 June 2022 by the Centre Commandant of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment, Brigadier Anura Abeysinghe RWP RSP USP psc.
Commandant, Mechanized Infantry Training Centre Colonel H A A N C Prabhath RSP USP, Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Luxman Balasooriya RSP USP and Commanding Officer, Major Jagath Dembatagahawaththa USP psc welcomed him upon arrival as per the formal military ceremony.
Heads of establishments have arranged formal briefing of the matters pertaining to operational, training and administrative aspects. During his visit, addressed the troops and inspected the camps premises. Several Staff Officers of the Regimental Centre were also associated for the visit.
