OFFICIAL VISIT BY THE COMMANDER, MECHANIZED INFANTRY BRIGADE TO 3RD BATTALION MECHANIZED INFANTRY REGIMENT

Brigadier Kavinda Balasooriya RSP psc, the Commander - Mechanized Infantry Brigade paid his first official visit to the 3rd Battalion Mechanized Infantry Regiment on 17 & 18 February 2022.

On the first day, the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Thushara Muhandiramge RSP USP psc MIR, warmly welcomed him upon arrival with a Guard Turnout. Afterwards, Commanding Officer delivered a comprehensive formal briefing on the present status of the Battalion. Thereafter, Commander - Mechanized Infantry Brigade was invited to address the troops and planted a sapling to mark the occasion followed by visited the campsite. Second day was spared to visit troop deployments at, 24 Infantry Division in Ampara, 231 Infantry Brigade in Kalladi and 4th Regiment Special Forces in Monkey Bridge.

Finally, the Commander, Mechanized Infantry Brigade kept his praiseworthy remarks and compliments in the Visitors’ Book in order to conclude the visit.
