RELINQUISHMENT OF THE APPOINTMENT OF COMMANDANT, MECHANIZED INFANTRY TRAINING CENTRE

Colonel B P G K Balasooriya RSP psc relinquished the appointment of Commandant, Mechanized Infantry Training Centre on 08 August 2020 after completion of his tenure of office.

The outgoing Commandant was presented with the guard turnout, in keeping with military traditions invited him to review the parade and receive the salute.

Thereafter, he addressed all Officers and Other Ranks of the Training Centre to continue better training to uplift the standard of Officers/Other Ranks with Mechanized Infantry equipment and to overcome future challenges strengthening the capacities of Mechanized Infantry Regiment.

Afterwards, he was participated for the group photograph with Officers and Other Ranks staff followed by all ranks tea.

The day's event reached its apex after awarding a memento to him on behalf of all ranks of the Mechanized Infantry Training Centre. Finally, he also conveyed best wishes for future career prospects in the organization.
