ASSUMED OFFICE AS CENTRE COMMANDANT, MECHANIZED INFANTRY REGIMENT

Colonel W M S C K Wanasinghe RSP USP assumed office on 06 April 2020 as the 7th Centre Commandant of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment.

The newly appointed Centre Commandant was warmly welcomed by Colonel K K S Perakum RWP RSP - Deputy Centre Commandant, Mechanized Infantry Regiment and presented a formal Guard Turnout.

Afterwards, he paid floral tribute to the fallen war heroes at the War Heros Monument followed by assumed his office blessing with religious observances. Thereafter, he was attended the formal briefing conducted by Deputy Centre Commandant, Mechanized Infantry Regiment and Staff Officers were present during the occasion.
