The Mechanized Infantry Regiment is celebrating its 12th anniversary giving priority to the religious activities. The celebration was commenced at Kataragama KiriVehera and Kataragama Devalaya on 19 January 2019 with the participation of Commander Mechanized Infantry Brigade, Brigadier LS Balachandra RSP, Overlooking Centre Commandant, Lieutenant Colonel KKS Perakum RWP RSP and other senior officers and Other Ranks.
Mechanized Infantry Regiment flag, Mechanized Infantry Brigade flag, Mechanized Infantry Training Centre flag and Battalions flags were taken for invocation of blessings as part of the religious ceremonies prior to the 12th anniversary day.
