3 MECHANIZED INFANTRY WON THE INTER BATTALION BOXING CHAMPIONSHIP

The finals of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment Inter Battalion Boxing Championship held on 07 January 2019 at the Mechanized Infantry Regimental Centre. Lieutenant Colonel K K S Perakum RWP RSP, Overlooking Centre Commandant graced the occasion as the Chief Guest to witness the final tussle of the tournament. After the competitive contests for three days, 3 Mechanized Infantry won the championship of Inter Battalion Boxing tournament and 4 Mechanized Infantry became as runners up. Private Siriwaradana H M I of 4 MIR was the Best Boxer while Private Dharmasiri W A U M of 3 MIR turned as the Best loser in the tournament. The overlooking Centre Commandant congratulated the achievers soon after the tournament.
