3 MECHANIZED INFANTRY WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP OF INTER BATTALION HAND BALL COMPETITION - 2018

The Mechanized Infantry Regiment Inter Battalion Hand Ball competition was held from 3rd August to 06th August 2018 at Mechanized Infantry Regimental Centre playground. The event was organized under the close supervision of the Centre Commandant Colonel S J Priyadarshana RWP RSP USP and the Commanding Officer 3 Mech Inf, Lt Col D M M Dissanayaka RWP.

Brigadier HMS Herath, Project Officer 11 Div grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Commander - Mechanized Infantry Brigade - Colonel L S Balachandra RSP, Commanding Officers and many senior officers of Mechanized Infantry Regiment attended for the event. Finally 3 Mechanized Infantry won the championship of Inter Battalion Hand Ball competition and 2 Mechanized Infantry became as runners up. The prime intention of this event was to select most suitable and talent players for the Mechanized Infantry Regiment Hand Ball team and also to sharpen the organizing skills and leadership of Officers and Other Ranks.
