NEWLY APPOINTED COMMANDING OFFICER OF 2 MECHANIZED INFANTRY ASSUMED DUTIES

Lieutenant Colonel P I Punchihewa took over duties as the Commanding Officer of 2nd Battalion Mechanized Infantry on 09th August 2018. The newly appointed Commanding Officer was greeted with the Guard Turnout on arrival at the entrance to the 2nd Battalion Mechanized Infantry. After, officially taking over duties at his office with religious blessings, he planted a sapling to symbolize the acceptance of the duties. Thereafter, he visited the camp area and inspected the routine works.
