NEWLY APPOINTED COMMANDANT AND DEPUTY COMMANDANT ASSUMES OFFICE

Colonel H M U Herath RWP RSP psc took over the duties as the Centre Commandant of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment on 05th January 2017. The new Centre Commandant was greeted to a Guard Turnout on arrival at the entrance to the Regimental Centre. After officially taking over duties at his office with religious blessings, he addressed all Officers and Other Ranks of the Regimental Centre.The newly appointed Deputy Centre Commandant Lt Col WMSCK Wanasinghe RSP also assumed duties at his office with the religious blessing. He signed an official document symbolizing the assumption of office during the simple ceremony.
