Brigadier W M S C K Wanasinghe RSP USP - Centre Commandant, Mechanized Infantry Regiment relinquished the duties and formal farewell was held on 24 and 25 April 2022.
Colonel H A A N C Prabhath RSP USP, Deputy Centre Commandant on 24 April 2022, warmly received the outgoing Centre Commandant upon his arrival.
The formal military formalities were commenced soon after the guard turnout at the entrance. Subsequently, paid his tribute to the fallen war heroes at the war heroes monument followed by attended for troop address and all ranks tea.
Following day after conveying best wishes for future prospects, all Officers and Other Ranks offered him to salute in a street line and to appreciate the dedicated service rendered to the Mechanized Infantry Regiment.
