OPENING OF A NEWLY CONSTRUCTED HOUSE FOR A MILITARY FAMILY

Under the concept of the Colonel of the Regiment Mechanized Infantry Regiment, for constructing five houses for five soldiers for each Battalion, the fifth newly constructed house in Galgamuwa for Sargent Lakmal HPS 2nd Battalion Mechanized Infantry Regiment ceremonially declared open by Major General C D Weerasuriya RWP RSP ndu, Colonel of the Regiment Mechanized Infantry Regiment and Deputy Chief Of Staff Sri Lanka Army on 12 November 2022.

For the construction of the house locally founded materials were heavily used while financial assistance was provided by the Mechanized Infantry Regimental Seva Vanitha branch and 2nd Battalion Mechanized Infantry.

For this occasion Centre Commandant, Brigadier A M A Abeysinghe RWP RSP USP psc, Commanding Officer 2nd Battalion Mechanized Infantry Regiment, Lt Col B A L Balasooriya RSP USP along with other Senior Officers/Staff Officers were participated.
