OPENING OF NEWLY CONSTRUCTED HOUSE FOR MILITARY FAMILY

Under the concept of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Army Headquarters and the Colonel of the Regiment Mechanized Infantry Regiment, Major General C D Weerasuriya RWP RSP ndu, inorder to construct five houses for five soldiers for each battalion, the fourth newly constructedhouse in Diyabeduma, Dehiattakandiya for Infmn Wasantha RM ceremonially declared openby Maj Gen S J Priyadarshana RWP RSP USP General Officer Commanding 66 Infantry Division on 09 November 2022.

For the construction of the house locally, found materials were heavily used while financial assistance was provided by Mechanized Infantry Regimental Seva Vanitha Branch and 5th Battalion Mechanized Infantry.

In this occasion, The Centre Commandant, Brigadier A M A Abeysinghe RWP RSP USP psc, Commanding Officer 5th Battalion Mechanized Infantry Regiment, Lt Col D G J B P Dembatagahawaththa USP psc along with other Senior Officers/Staff Officers and Ncos were participated.
